How to Remove Out-of-Stock Items from Your Shopify Collections

 If sales at your store have been brisk recently, you might find that you exhaust all of your stock before you can replenish it. Or you may discover that a specific product has already been phased out and will no longer be manufactured. You should conceal those products from your Shopify store in order to achieve that.

In this article, you will be shown how to hide Out of Stock products from your collections on Shopify. In fact, you can manually do this on the Collections page of Shopify and use the inventory management app to help you do this.

Step 1: Allow inventory tracking for the products

The first thing you must do is make the products' inventory tracking feature active. If you cannot recall how to do it, let's look at the steps below:

• Select Products and one of the products.
• Check Tracks this product’s quantityfrom the Inventory section.
• Don’t forget to click Save.

Step 2: Change collection conditions

You can alter the conditions for each collection in this step and add the following conditions:

• For Products must match, choose all conditions.
• For Inventory stock, choose is greater than and click 0.

Step 3: Choose Save

The last step is to save your changes by clicking Save.

This process is a great way to make sure that your collections do not include any out-of-stock products and those will not appear to the customers. Take note that products which are out of stock can re-appear in the collections again after you have got the inventory
