  • Uploading a CSV File of Customers

To upload a CSV file containing your customers, you must first export all reviews. Then, it will send you a CSV file containing the email addresses of all customers who have posted reviews on your website and provided their email address. You can then choose to customize this file in order to select the specific customers to whom you wish to send the Email Requesting Manual Review.

Remember that the CSV file format should consist of two columns containing the customer's name and email address, and that each file should contain no more than 2500 customers.

  • Yotpo always tries to find a way to avoid spamming your customers with emails. So it also sends burst emails to several groups of customer:
  • Those who received an Automatic Review Request email in the last five days or are going to get one in the next five days.
  • Those who are going to receive another Burst email review request over the next 30 days.
  • Those who have already written a review through Burst emails, and will not get a request to write some more.

Facebook Share

Yotpo will provide you with an additional opportunity to create site reviews when you share a link to request site reviews on your Facebook page. This link can be copied so that it can be posted manually or directly to your Facebook account from the page.



When your customers click on the link, a landing page with the option to leave a site review will appear. You can view previous testimonials in the reviews tab, the Facebook reviews tab, or the detailed reviews page.

Coupon

As you can see, coupons are an effective tool for encouraging customers to review your products, especially when combined with an incentive such as a store gift.

In the Automatic Review Request section of Yotpo, you will be able to modify and select the emails that will inform your customers about these coupon offers. Immediately after your customers leave a comment on their review, they will receive the coupon from your store. In addition, you can offer a coupon to your customers as an incentive for writing a review, or you can offer added value for both writing and sharing their reviews on social media. Obviously, if these reviews are shared on your customers' social networks, they will help you attract new customers to your store.

In some cases, it is also effective to provide one coupon for a fixed value, for example, 5 percent of the product, to those who write a review and another coupon for sharing a review, for example, 10 percent. Consequently, those who both write and share a review will receive a 15 percent discount coupon.



After leaving a review, your customers will receive the coupon code via email. There are options to check the usage statistics of your coupons and determine how much was spent on the coupons section and how much revenue it can generate each month.
  • Note: The same coupon code will be sent to every customer. In this case, setting regular expiration dates with reminders is recommended to use the coupons to show the number of days before the coupons expire. This is a smart way to encourage customers not to hold on to the coupons and use them before they expire.
Yotpo also offers the Coupon Reminders feature, which will send a reminder to the customer to renew their coupon, such as "x" number of days after the coupon was sent or "x" number of days before the coupon expires. As a result, you will be able to increase your coupon conversion rate, which is an effective way to bring customers back to your store to purchase products.
